Fashion/Style Editorial Internship

Mostly Sugar Media is looking for creative, driven, and fashion-obsessed individuals to join our team as Fashion Editorial Interns for Winter/Spring 2025. This is an unpaid internship eligible for college credit, offering hands-on experience in the exciting and fast-paced world of fashion journalism.

What You’ll Gain

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Write, edit, and proofread fashion articles, blogs, and features.

  • Trend Research: Stay updated on fashion trends, runway shows, and industry news to pitch fresh ideas to the team.

  • Sample Coordination: Organize and track clothing and accessory samples for photoshoots or features.

  • Photoshoot Assistance: Help plan and execute editorial photoshoots, including sourcing props and coordinating schedules.

  • Social Media Support: Craft engaging, fashion-forward content and captions for social media, aligned with Mostly Sugar’s brand voice.

  • Administrative Tasks: Manage editorial calendars, fact-check stories, and maintain organized archives.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Current enrollment in a degree program in Journalism, Communications, Fashion, or a related field.

  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with a sharp eye for detail and a love for fashion and style.

  • Strong research and interviewing abilities to gather information from credible sources and industry professionals.

  • Familiarity with AP style guidelines and the ability to adapt writing to Mostly Sugar’s editorial tone.

  • Knowledge of current fashion trends, designers, influencers, and industry events.

  • Proficiency in conducting online research using various reliable sources.

  • The ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple assignments, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • A positive attitude, creativity, and a desire to grow as a fashion journalist.

  • Bonus: Basic knowledge of SEO principles.
