Fashion/Style News Reporter Internship
Mostly Sugar Media is seeking a talented and passionate Fashion/Style News Reporter Intern to join our team. This unpaid internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the world of fashion and style reporting within a vibrant media company. As a Fashion/Style News Reporter Intern, you will have the chance to contribute to our fashion and style coverage, interview industry professionals, and create engaging content for our audience. This internship is eligible for college internship credit.
Responsibilities:
Research, pitch, and write compelling news articles and features on the latest trends, events, and stories in the fashion and style industry.
Conduct interviews with fashion designers, influencers, stylists, and other industry experts to gather insights and quotes for your articles.
Stay up to date with the latest fashion and style news, including runway shows, fashion weeks, collaborations, and emerging designers.
Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm and develop engaging story ideas that resonate with our target audience.
Contribute to content planning and assist in generating creative concepts for fashion and style-related multimedia projects.
Assist in fact-checking, proofreading, and editing content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to Mostly Sugar's editorial style.
Optimize articles for search engines (SEO) by incorporating relevant keywords and meta tags.
Engage with our online community, respond to comments, and participate in discussions related to your articles.
Embrace feedback and guidance from the editorial team to enhance your writing skills and storytelling abilities.
Requirements:
Currently pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, Fashion, or a related field.
Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for fashion and style.
Strong research and interviewing abilities to gather information from reliable sources and industry professionals.
Familiarity with AP style guidelines and the ability to adapt writing style to match Mostly Sugar's editorial tone.
Knowledge of current fashion trends, designers, influencers, and industry events.
Proficiency in conducting online research and utilizing various sources to gather information.
Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple assignments, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude, creativity, and a desire to learn and grow as a fashion and style news reporter.
Basic knowledge of SEO principles is a plus.
