About the Shoot
The "Celebrate In Style, Shop Richmond" campaign, a collaboration between Mostly Sugar Media, 24 Creative Productions, and RVA Fashion Week, aimed to encourage Richmond residents to shop local during the holiday season and beyond. With the creative direction of the 24 Creative Productions team, photographer Julie Adams captured striking visuals that reflect the essence of the season—festive yet refined, classic yet modern.
Shot on location at Vagabond in Downtown Richmond, the editorial channels a sense of elegance and individuality that only local creatives can bring to life. Looks from Harrells by The Suit Brother and Galassi highlight the range of festive, trendy, and high-end fashion available in the city. Produced by 24 Creative Productions, the campaign showcases how local businesses contribute to the city’s growing fashion scene. Every detail, from the rich textures of the clothing to the intentional composition of each shot, tells a story of collaboration, vision, craftsmanship, and celebration.

Our goal has been to raise awareness of the fashion and arts culture hidden in Richmond by supporting emerging artists in the fashion and beauty industry, entrepreneurs and community partners
RVA Fashion Week was initiated in 2008 from a small group of VCU students, and one University of Richmond student; varying in majors from fashion, design, marketing and business whom had met working together on local fashion events in Richmond decided to embark on a large-scale project to showcase Richmond's unique fashion and culture.
RVA Fashion Week is now overseen by a diverse leadership team and specialized committees to manage the exponential growth that continues to rise year after year. This awe-inspiring production is 100 percent volunteer-based, from the top of the chain-of-command to the event-day volunteers. The continued support, participation, and contributions from Richmond and now Virginia as a whole is what has kept RVA Fashion Week going strong into our 16th year.
